NASSER VICTIS Reunion
Gorepanda, Brother Elsey
(Casbah Main Hall)
Casbah is excited to announce as host-venue for the reunion of Hamilton blue-rockers, NASSER VICTIS.
Special guests include the debut of GOREPANDA, and Detroit’s BROTHER ELSEY.
When you think about rock and the blues there are so many legendary names that come to mind: Hendrix, Zeppelin, Clapton, Frampton, Allman Brothers, Deep Purple, Santana, The Doors and countless more. Drawing much of their inspiration from these groups and many others, Nasser Victis formed as a rock/blues jam band more concerned with connection than identity. The group came together around Hamilton in 2004 and released the “Demo” LP in 2005 as well as “TESS” EP in 2006. They toured Hamilton, Burlington and Welland regularly and built up a successful fanbase. Due to other musical obligations the band was forced to take an indefinite hiatus in 2008, but now, 10 years later the timing is right and they are back and ready for more!
Eager to please your ear holes and warm your soul’s core, Codi Maki (Flat 5, Toadhouse, Must Stash Hat), Charlie McKittrick (The Tartan Terrors, MicLordz & Sauce Funky, TimeGiant) and Kurt Tweedle (Flat 5, Satisfied Customers) are weaving the past into the future. “We tend to spotlight guitar solos, drum solos and bass solos amidst the flow of the luscious musical landscapes. What you get is mutating, engaging music for a mature, experienced crowd. Our tunes are a reflection of everyday life – exciting, imperfect and honest with highs and lows along the way.” says drummer/vocalist Charlie McKittrick.
With new takes on old songs, inspirational cover tunes and some new tracks that are ready to break through, it is safe to say that Nasser Victis is BACK!! Catch their return to the stage as they headline The Casbah (306 King St. W, Hamilton) on Friday, June 1, 2018.
