Motivated by the closure of The Silver Dollar Room, The Zoobombs return to Canada for a run of dates.
The Zoobombs was formed in Tokyo in 1994. They self-released four cassette albums and became one of the most exciting bands in the Tokyo underground indie scene. They signed with Quattro / Ricetone Label and released three albums including their master piece “Let It Bomb “The Zoosbombs were featured in the top page of New York Time introduced” Japanese Next Wave. “Their success continued and in 1999, the band signed with Virgin / EMI Japan and released three albums.
The Zoobombs Were Awarded The Second Best Performance Of The Canadian Music Week Festival, And The Toronto Sun’S Best Club Shows Of 2005 . For The Celebration Of 15 Years As A Band, They Created Their Own Label, Donuts Worm And Shifted Their Focus To North America .
The band sadly stopped in Fall of 2013 as result of bass player Moostop’s departure. After a brief solo career, the band’s master mind, singer / guitar player DON Matsuo decided to reform the band in 2014. The reformed band includes the original drummer Bukka Billy And a new bass player, they are planning to tour and recording in 2015.
